In 2009, the mono -a modern flatware was introduced in 4 new finishes to celebrate 50 years of mono -a production. One of the special finishes was mono -a in a polished gold. Mono -a flatware was designed by Peter Raacke in 1959 is considered a classic modern flatware as it continues to have popularity to win design awards around the world. The mono -a cutlery is significant in that it was among the first designs of stainless steel flatware to be pure in its form function. Each piece is machine made in Germany and hand sanded to a fine satin finish by experienced craftsman.
