The Rubis name was derived from the Swiss watch makers who used these precision tweezers to place the ruby stones into watch movements and so they naturally called them Rubis tweezers. Rubis' combination of quality and philosophy of functional design led the way to successful design of every day implements. In addition, the Rubis philosophy of combining modern technical know how, experience and unparalleled functional design has produced implements that from 1992 - 2000 have won ten international design awards.
