Mikaela Dörfel designed this Gemiini, an unusual tea service and extended fine china dinnerware, combining porcelain and stainless steel. In addition to the clearly defined lines and a high degree of functionality, there are some noteworthy details. The Gemiini teapot handle holds the lid in place when pouring. The strainer insert fits perfectly. And the cantilevered teapot sits on the warmer with the elevated candle. The teacups are stackable, with the metal ring serving as stacking guide. The coffeepot dominates the Gemiini coffee set, and also serves as a coffee maker. The removable stainless steel mesh filter is the guarantee of true, full coffee flavor, as the bitterns are removed upon completion of the brewing process. The Gemiini plates are raised in the center with almost a reverse rim that circles the plate slightly below. Cups may become votives with their stainless handles removed. mono Gemiini dinnerware is made of fine porcelain and 18-8 stainless steel.
