The Alessi Tonale dinnerware is a durable stoneware in soft hues for mixing and matching. Tonale refers to Giorgio Morandi's use of color tonality, giving these objects that are used daily a sense of individuality. The items in this series are produced in a variety of materials, striving for expressive purity but honoring today's requirements for durability and versatility. The project was inspired by ceramics from Korea, Japan and China. Every piece in this series comes in light grey while certain other colors are only available in certain pieces. Fitz and Su are reminded of the dusty colors found in the brush of the California desert in Autumn when looking at the Tonale dishware. Tonale is dishwasher safe stoneware.
