POTT 2720 flatware in 18/10 Inox, Table fork. Paul Voss, a little-known designer of metal appliances, worked for many years in the USA and was subsequently appointed director of the craft department of the Solingen College of Metalwork. There he became acquainted with Carl Pott, who was one of his pupils. He introduced Carl Pott to the guiding principles of Bauhaus and Werkbund. Model 20 was at the time of its launch (1951) a revolution. It represented a new generation of cutlery: short blade, short fork shank and a small, oval spoon shape. Model 20 is today an evergreen. In the early seventies it was incorporated into the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Modern Art.
