This DOU dish is the medium sized dish in a series of 3 DOU dishes. A great dessert plate, serve hors d'oeuvres out of them, fill them with nuts, or throw your keys in them, they have many uses. Traditionally the DOU plates were dinnerware from the early Qin Dynasty, 2003-1562 BC, used for ceremonies to accommodate the sitting postures of the aristocrats on the ground. Taking the form of the ancient plate, the designer modernizes it with sanded surfaces to give them a sensation to touch. They are also made of biodegradable EPA Melamine. Plate is removable from base for easy storage.
