Mikaela Dorfel designed this Gemiini modern dinnerware, an unusual tea service extended to a fine china dinnerware, combining porcelain and stainless steel. In addition to the clearly defined lines and a high degree of functionality, there are some noteworthy details. The Gemiini teapot handle holds the lid in place when pouring. The strainer insert fits perfectly. the cantilevered teapot sits on the warmer with the elevated candle. The teacups are stackable, with the metal ring serving as stacking guide. The coffee pot dominates the Gemiini coffee set and also serves as a coffee maker. The removable stainless steel mesh filter is the guarantee of true, full coffee flavor, as the bitter grounds are removed upon completion of the brewing process. The Gemiini plates are raised in the center with almost a reverse rim that circles the plate slightly below.
