Artecnica developed the Design with Conscience program where Artisan communities of developing countries handcraft objects designed by internationally recognized designers, often utilizing recycled products, both minimizing environmental impact and stimulating depressed economies. Initial products in the Artecnica design conscience works include the recycled glass vase series Trans Glass by Tord Boontje and the Hella Jongerius beads & pieces. Original popular Artecnica products include Tord Boontje tablestories, Takashi Murakami kaikai dolls and the murakami flower cushions.
