Alessi King and Queen Chin set of two caps in thermoplastic resin, red and yellow. Hand-decorated. Alessi Chin Family by Stefano Giovannoni with Rumiko Takeda. The Chin Family part two is in collaboration with the National Palace Museum Taiwan. These new objects are the continuation of the Chin Family Collection presented in our stores in early 2007. This programme created the joint project between Alessi and the National Palace Museum in Taiwan. Along with the Museum management, Alessi asked Stefano Giovannoni to design a mascot for the new face that NPW wants to give to the 21st century. For the "A di Alessi" catalogue a series of little characters was created from the mascot, each of whom with a household function. The Chin Family even represents a new example of playfulness instead of being made with a single injection as usually happens with the moulding technology used for plastics, the characters/objects are instead printed on individual pieces as if they were wooden figures or porcelain dolls and the details of the clothing's oriental decorations typical of Giovannoni's design, are painted by hand.
