| It is called 'Bucky' after one of my great heros Buckminiter Fuller. Our project is also inspired by his work on the Dymaxion Car (1933) a beautiful and truly revolutionary vehicle of its time. |

| My concept is about a shell or sort of hat which goes on the Playsam car without totally covering it or manipulating the original, in a way exposing the soul inside. A play between a shiny beautiful icon inside and the new grid-like aerodynamic structure outside. We have used a highly advanced production technique called Stereo Lithography which is based on a build up of very thin layers of plastic which are cured together using lasers. This design is not achievable in any other technique!! And the idea would be that every new 'hat' would be different to the other. |
