Vipp's story begins in Randers, Denmark in 1939 when the wife of Holger Nielsen asks him to make a stainless steel trash can or waste bin for her new hairdressing salon. Soon local dentists and doctors wanted the VIPP stainless trash can (waste bin) for their practices. The original VIPP trash cans continued in production for more than 50 years. Today VIPP is run by Nielsen's descendants. VIPP products are functional, unique and keep a very high quality and finish. That is why VIPP products have very long life cycles. The most popular of products is the Vipp pedal trash can, The Vipp 24 makes an excellent kitchen waste bin and the Vipp 16 has become a popular odorless diaper pail. Vipp began developing products beyond trash cans that now include bath and kitchen accessories, towels, hardware and even a kitchen. Fitzsu is an Authorized Dealer of Vipp trash cans and Vipp accessories and has sold Vipp products since they came to the U.S. Fitz and Su use Vipp products in just about every room of their house.
